"... Y ahí lo tienes encerrado en casa,
temblando como un niño,
sellando las ventanas,
para no ver, ni escuchar,
sentir, notar la vida estallando fuera.
Por miedo a sentir miedo
fue a la cama,
como una oruga se escondió
y envuelto entre las mantas
se durmió,
hizo humo el sueño
y se olvidó del mundo
por miedo a despertar.

Aún sigue dormido.
Pasaron los inviernos
y aún sigue escondido,
esperando que tu abrazo
le inocule la vacuna
y elimine el virus del miedo
y su locura. "

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A lucid Marilyn Manson said it to Michael Moore in Bowling for Columbine: the key is fear. We live in an atomized society controlled by fear. A fear that divides us and that is used to justify policies divisive and abhorrent. The fear of insecurity is used to embark on illegal wars, fear of job loss is used to undermine our working conditions, fear of leaving home, fear that things will change, fear of foreigners, fear the unknown ... through this model of society he exerts its control mechanisms, we canceled, alienates us, makes us lobotomized automatons serving a ferocious and inhuman globalization.
But all is not lost in your embrace hides the vaccine and the protagonist of this story just waiting, while winters, to which the inocula.

This artwork is amazing! That different media you have used have worked so well together and compliment each other! I think you should do many more artworks like this! That black background has made the foreground stand out so well and the purple, orange and grey have worked so well on the skin to show muscle tone, light and shade. The piece of string you have used to go from one figures mouth to the other makes this piece so original and gives the sense of imaginativeness. I really hope you do many more works of art like this in the future.

Wow I have to say I'm really impressed with this piece! I love all of your artworks but this one brings more of a meaning than the others. I really like how you've incorporated a lot of different colors into this, yet you managed to get the right feel. The black background helps a lot, it makes the piece stand out more. I totally original work; the technique is used frequently but you managed to make it different.

I do have to point out vision, I didn't give you the 5 stars because for you to understand this piece you need to read it well. You don't get a instant message. Impact, of course 5 stars! Right when I opened the picture my instant reaction was ''So cool!''

I'm hoping for more art pieces like this one in the future, truly adore this <3

I really enjoy this sort of work... It almost seems like there is an underpinning theme of softness or tenderness even with such a powerful theme like fear and that parasitic relationship... And the use of color instead of just keeping it grayscale looks very nice as well... :)

I've tried to capture in this picture how fear blindfold us in a very soft way. Fear is conceived as a social construct that controls us. And power is based on fear that fear to dominate. This is how our society is built. Based on a fear imperceptible.

The topic of Fear and the manifest in itself i think is an interesting subject to pursue further if your not already doing so, i could see this being a potential art show or exhibition. Perhaps a paradigm of different aspects of fear and how we deal with this on a daily basis could be an incentive for you to push it further?

As for the piece i do think the painting has a sense of some disturbance in a way which i guess goes back to fear in general - we all tend to fear the missunderstood- but i think it works.

I find the title for this image is well suited. The aspect of fear is often very hard to understand in the area of imagry and usually comes up with results of the effect of fear rather than the meaning. The fact that the eyes are covered and te string lacing the subject shows the very real meaning of how fear not only can reach the point of blinding the person feeling it, but also the aspect that it can bring about a feeling of entrapment, a feeling of being bound and immobilized. The eyes covered show how when most people see fear, they see nothing else and the string bringing about the feeling of being snared and tied down are an amazing compliment to each other. Really well done piece of art.

Very striking artwork, and I sense the significance of the fine red thread linking the two is the presence of an unseen menace that lurks amongst our society and is perpetuated by fear and ignorance.

Saludos.
.......
A curious way of interpreting fear. As hands that blinds us and force us to do His will, pulling the strings of our destiny. Em IMHO, an excellent work.

What I can say here is..I can feel the connection between the two guys! I'm little bit confused what exactly happened but when I read the title (Fear Virus) I do understand..the color is great but need a little bit improvement on your shading. Overall it's still a great work! Well done! :)
